My Top 5, Summer Beauty must haves!

If you know me, you know I’m a lover of makeup & I have this crazy need of satisfying my addiction constantly, sorry husband. I’m so excited to finally be posting this blog for you guys as it’s my 1st blog on beauty & I finally get to share some of my favorite products I’ve been loving this summer! I decided to include an eyeshadow palette, a bronzer, highlight, lipstick, and last but not least a gloss for my top 5! Three out of five products are from Jouer’s Cosmetics & I didn’t realize it until afterwards but if I’m being honest, I don’t think it would’ve made a difference. Not only is their packaging beautiful and right up my alley, but their products’ quality is amazing and they’ve quickly become one of my favorite brands. If you’re a makeup lover like myself and you want to know what my current faves are, just keep on reading!

For the longest time, Benefit’s Hoola bronzer has been my all time favorite but when I  finally got my hands on Marc Jacob’s limited edition Tan-Tastic Omega Bronzer, I haven’t used anything else since! It gives you the most natural bronze/contour without looking too harsh or too orange. It’s buttery, blendable, and just everything you look for in a bronzer, it’s seriously perfect & you need this in your life! I think I might even like it better than Hoola and that alone should tell you something because I’m pretty loyal when it comes to using my go-to products. It is limited edition but if you’re able to get your hands on it don’t hesitate, I promise you won’t regret it!

When reaching for an eyeshadow palette that gives me all the shimmer I want, I find myself reaching for Jouer’s Skinny Dip palette. It is seriously stunning & the finish on these ultra foiled shimmer shadows are amazING. These pictures don’t do them justice but trust that they are beautiful & extremely pigmented!

Lets talk about highlights. I love me a nice, bright highlight especially for the summer! I love to highlight on top of my cheekbones, chin, right above the brows, nose, and from time to time I highlight under the brows & cupid’s bow. Jouer’s Citrine highlighter has become my favorite over the last couple of months & I can’t seem to put it down! It’s a very pretty shimmering gold but keep in mind that these highlighters are very buttery so they are extremely fragile. I actually had to repurchase a second one because my 1st one broke within weeks of getting it, but I’m telling you it’s worth it!

I don’t know about you, but I can easily tell you that I’m beyond over the liquid lip trend (insert eye roll here). Don’t get me wrong, I still wear them from time to time but if I’m being honest I tend to reach more for satin or glossy finishes these days. It might be because it’s summer & I love nothing more than that pretty bronzed, glowy finished look paired with a glossed lip. So pretty! Anyway, Tarte’s Rain Forest of The Sea Lipstick in the color Skinny Dip is my go to this summer. If you follow me on Instagram & see me wearing a nude beige lipstick on a post/insta story,  I’m most likely to be wearing this lipstick. I find that the formula of this lipstick is extremely moisturizing and long wearing and that’s just what I need during these 120 degree weather days, literally.

And last but certainly not least, the gloss is actually a lip topper by Jouer’s Cosmetics once again! Color is Skinny Dip & wow, apparently I have a thing for products named Skinny Dip! It’s a very pretty shimmering nude lip topper and it smells amazing! (Vanilla to be exact). My favorite way to apply this is on the center of the lips!

And here I am wearing all of my favorite makeup products, I hope you enjoyed & I can’t wait to see you reading my next blog!

PS. a big shoutout and thank you to the hubs who let me swatch some of these products on him for you all!  XOXO
