Third Trimester OOTD – Summer Style

Fashion, Motherhood

I am loving and living in dresses this trimester and this season. Today, I’ll be sharing a couple of outfits I picked out over the last couple of weeks or so. I am most comfortable when wearing dresses (and leggings too of course) as the bump continues to grow overnight.

I’m currently 33 weeks along in my pregnancy which is when I tend to have a little more trouble finding clothing pieces of my liking that actually fit comfortably. Maternity clothing isn’t always my cup of tea, so I tend to look for flowy clothing pieces at my usual favorite stores, and I just go up a size or two as needed. Dresses are my favorite to shop for this time of year, especially now that I’ve entered my last trimester.

I found this beautiful striped neutral dress at H&M a couple of weeks ago, and to my surprise, I ended finding a few other dresses that fit my bump just fine, so I’ll go ahead and link those too.

I paired the dress with some tan sandals, a neutral crossbody bag, and an all neutral Gigi Pip felt hat. I love accessorizing any outfit with a hat, I think it really completes the look.

Rhythms, Rituals, and Routines

Motherhood, Spirit & Soul

Over the last few months my heart has desired and craved more for this blog of mine. I’ve loved all things motherhood, beauty, and lifestyle for as long as I can remember, but I couldn’t be more excited to welcome and bring a new category to the blog. Hello Spirit & Soul. I’m already so passionate about it as I know this is where I’ll pour out what my heart & soul believe to be important, and I really hope that you enjoy it.

Rhythms, Rituals, and Routines

Are you a person who loves routine and has everything jotted down to a T when it comes to organizing your week and month? Or are you someone who likes to live spontaneously and doesn’t go through the trouble of having anything set in motion? Or maybe you’d like to get your life a bit more in order but have no idea where to start. Well my friend, if this is you, you came to the right place. I may know a thing or two about following routine, and I love it!

Following routine and creating rhythms has been key in helping me live out my day intentionally and helping me strive in all areas of my motherly role! Maybe you’re not a mom, but maybe you’re a full-time student or a full-time employee -maybe even both!- and trust me, creating your own daily rituals and applying them to your every day life does you wonders!

Yearly Planner & To-Do List Pad from https://www.horacioprinting.com

Monthly-

To start off, you’ve got to have a yearly planner or at least a calendar where you’re able to jot down all of your plans, appointments, events etc. every month. This will give you a better vision for all that each month will bring.

Weekly-

When I don’t forget, I tend to go over my planner over the weekend and I like to see if there’s anything special going on that upcoming week. Pick a day you’re able to go through your planner once a week, and if there’s anything you need to include & add to it, that’ll be the time to do it.

Setting and following a weekly routine is probably the most important one I have as a stay at home mom and wife. I’ll give you a few examples of how my week goes as planned:

Mondays: Flowers & Groceries Run + Errands

Wednesday: Story Time with my boys at a local book store

Friday: Car wash + vacuum,

tidy home & catch up on any housework before the weekend.

Weekend: Rest!! (Light housework if needed)

Side note*

I don’t have a selected day for any specific chores because I clean as I see fit, and I find that things happen and can change at any given moment when mothering 3 little boys. But, if you feel you need to and would love to implement a routine dedicated to chore days, go for it! Take what you can, add or subtract as needed!

Daily-

Now, everyone’s lifestyles are different, so feel free to accommodate some of the things I mention down below. These are things I’ve put to practice for some time now, and this is my daily routine as a Stay At Home Mom.

-Rise Early-

Oh my gosh, this. If you remember a few posts back, I stated how I wanted to implement waking up early as a part of my routine, and wow. Life changed, life made! I’ve discovered that getting an hour head start makes the world of a difference in my day. I am fully awake and in a much better head space by the time my kids are up, and I’m ready to tackle the rest of my day with a positive attitude. If you’re not a morning person, I recommend trying to wake up 15 mins before your usual wake up time for an entire week, add an extra 15 mins the following week, and repeat until you’ve hit your new desired wake up schedule! (This also means that you’ve got to hit the pillow earlier than usual to give your body the rest that it needs! Do it, it’s awesome, and you won’t regret it.)

-Practice Gratitude-

I probably sound like a broken record to those that actually read my posts, but this is essential in my daily routine, so there’s no way I’m going to leave out what actually happens at the start of my day. Journal, meditate, pray, you name it. Practice gratitude every morning by giving thanks for this new day, and for the air that you’re breathing. You are alive, and it’s the start of a new day with fresh opportunities. Meditate by simply having some quiet time, and allow yourself to focus on the importance of what this new day will bring.

-Hydrate-

I recently started doing this a couple of weeks ago, and I have to say that drinking a glass of water first thing in the morning instantly wakes me up while also hydrating my body.

-Plan Out Your Day-

I have a To-Do List pad I love that keeps me organized, and I love starting my days in my office space while I plan out my day and sip on some coffee. I split my day into three; mornings, afternoons, evenings, and I also prioritize my Top 3 tasks of the day. Having a nice little reminder to look back to helps me stay focused during the day and prevents me from being all over the place.

*Tip For Planning out your day or Quiet Time*

Create a space that inspires you and motivates you to push that start button as you envision what your day will look like!

-Quality Learning Time-

We just brought this ritual back into our household, and the kids and I love the quality time we spend by learning through play. Camilo is about to start Kinder this upcoming school year so we’ve been playing catch up on a few things to prep him before he starts! We spend about an hour working on a fun worksheet packet I put together for him that include letter/word tracing, coloring, & math.

-Laundry (if needed) –

I like to get started on laundry in the mornings as I proceed to carry on with my day. I know some people like to start with the dishwasher, and this is great too. Do whatever works best for you and your lifestyle.

After breakfast and following my morning routine, I proceed with chores, picking up Richie from school, making dinner, checking homework, and so on and so forth.

*Tip for moms who pick up their kids from school*

Leave your phone in your purse, take a book with you and get a little reading time as you wait! I like to leave my house at least half an hour before school is out so I can squeeze in a little reading in my day as I wait! This is a ritual I love incorporating in my weekdays as much as I can.

And that’s pretty much what my daily routine looks like during my weekdays! I know this post was a little long but I really wanted to entail as much detail as possible. I hope that this post inspires you to create your own routine, and that you’re able to apply a few of the things I shared to your every-day life. If you already have a routine set in motion, what are some of the things you found extremely helpful or a must-follow? Lets chat in the comment section down below!

They recently created this podcast to share powerful stories & conversations that will fill you with inspiration. Wrapping up my Top 5 with one of the first podcasts I ever tuned in to. Jeff and Alyssa are a married couple who share grace and wisdom with their audience. One thing all of these podcasts share in common that I love, is their faith and love for God. Along with all great things they have to offer in each and every episode, being reminded of the word and His truth keeps me grounded through my week.

Easter Basket Ideas for Toddler Boys

Lifestyle, Motherhood

Spring has officially sprung, and we’re only a couple weeks away from Easter! This makes my second year following this Easter basket tradition for my boys, so I figured I’d post some ideas since I got a few requests regarding so on Instagram last month.

I tend to search for things I know will actually be put to use, and won’t be dumped or forgotten about a day later. Most of the things I found were from the dollar section at Target, excluding the Paint Poster booklets. Those I found at Michaels as well as the natural excelsior to fill the baskets with. (Baskets were found at the Target dollar section back in January, but Michaels has some similar ones linked here.)

Goodies in their Easter basket:

Easter book, Mickey Mouse & Paw Patrol Play Pack Grab & Go, Water Paint Posters, Pj Masks bandaids, Sidewalk chalk, Bunny Ears, Carrot Decoration, Kinder Joy Egg, Hearth and Hand Easter Gifting Toy, and their favorite action figure at the moment.

Now, I will say I was a bit obsessed with Hearth and Hand’s Easter Gifting Collection for kids when I first saw it. So many cute toys that would make the perfect addition for any Easter basket! I went for the Wooden Toy Blocks and the Bunny Pull Along Toy.

You can find the rest of their collection here: Hearth & Hand Easter Gifting Collection

As we all know, Easter isn’t actually based on some bunny, and the true reason behind it all is Jesus’ resurrection. I knew for sure I wanted to add a book in each one of their baskets, so I ended up going with something that would help my boys learn the true celebration of Easter.

Books to the left were found at Hobby Lobby, and The Story of Easter is from Target.

Other Spring Books we’ve enjoyed over the last couple of weeks:

We Are The Gardeners by Joanna Gaines

The Little Rabbit

The Week That Led To Easter

When Springs Comes

I hope you found some of these Easter basket ideas helpful, and I wish you all a great Easter weekend with your loved ones!

Favorite Spring Fashion Staples (+Trends) – 2019

Fashion

My favorite season is finally upon us, and it’s finally starting to feel like Spring where I live! (Insert all the party emojis here). Sharing some of my favorite staples this year, and linking some of my favorite items I cannot wait to wear. Bring on the warmer weather and say hello to everything neutral + pastel, pretty stripes & floral prints, sandals, mules, & espadrilles, and hello straw everything! In case you couldn’t already tell, I am soo excited to bring this post to the blog in celebration of Spring.

A few things awaiting me in the closet as we read, and a couple things I found similar to what I already own:

  1. Lack of Color- Palma Fedora
  2. Gigi Pip- Floppy Straw Hat
  3. Zara- Heeled Espadrilles
  4. Zara- Natural Rope Bag
  5. Steven – Natural Slides

Not a whole lot has changed over here, neutral palette forever holding the key to my heart no matter the season, and also loving light blues and pastels this Spring. Along with the previous years’ fashion trends- espadrilles, stripes, florals, and straw (all things natural), make a comeback and are still a total win in my book. You can also find the snake print trend everywhere you turn, but if I’m being honest, it’s not really my vibe (at least not at the moment). Aside from that, anything with a slight touch of feminine or anything boho brings a smile to my face!

Bottoms:

Being that I’m very pregnant now, I am loving and living in linen pants. Love the long & wide loose fit at the ankles, and also loving the more capri style linen pants. Linking a couple that I love and have worn multiple times already.

Now tell me, what are some of YOUR favorite trends/staples this year?

I hope you enjoyed some of the staple pieces I shared with you all, & make sure to stay tuned for a post on my boys’ Easter Baskets if you’re interested!

Current Favorite Skincare Products

Beauty

Today I’m sharing some of my favorite beauty skincare products I have been loving lately! I find these products essential in my skincare routine, I had to share here on the blog.

Summer Fridays R+R Mask

I shared this mask after the first couple of tries after receiving it in the mail, and I’m still using it constantly throughout my week. Loving the scent, the glow from within look, and how silky my skin feels after each use.

The Ordinary -Hyaluronic Acid

I recently branched out in trying this brand, and I am so impressed with how well this product works and how incredibly affordable their stuff is! I love applying this serum along with another right after toning my face. This serum applies so nicely and slides smoothly on the skin while giving my skin the hydration that it needs. I’ve yet to try any of their other products, but I sure won’t hesitate to branch out whenever I’m in need of adding another product to my regimen. Definitely recommend checking The Ordinary out, their products are extremely affordable and they also have great reviews online!

Olehenriksen Banana Eye Creme

Absolutely looove this eye creme! So hydrating and moisturizing for the under eyes. It helps with de-puffing, and even though my dark circles aren’t completely gone, they’ve never looked better. This eye creme is definitely a staple in my skincare regimen!

Fresh- Sugar Lip Treatment

I got this lip treatment as a birthday gift from Sephora last year, and wow. So good! I love how soft, moisturizing, soothing, and healthy my lips look and feel after applying this lip treatment. I love wearing it on a daily basis, especially on my no makeup-makeup days, it gives just the perfect amount of color to the lips, and it’s quite long-lasting.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder

I have to give a quick shoutout to this brow powder and include it in this post even though it’s not really a skincare product. I go back between the ABH Brow Wiz, and a couple weeks ago I ran out and I went back to the brow powder duo. I’ve always preferred the powder over any pencil as it gives a more natural look to the brows. I use the color Medium Brown, and I’m obsessed!

And that concludes my most current favorites, I hope you enjoyed! Leave any of your current favorites in the comment section if you have any you’d like to share, I’d love to hear all about them (:

Gender Reveal!! – Baby No.4

Motherhood

The moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here, and we are having a….

.

.

.

.

I’ll be honest and admit that it took me a couple of days to process the fact that we are expecting another baby boy. I was honestly shocked and I couldn’t believe my eyes and ears, even though I felt in my heart what was finally confirmed the day of our ultrasound. Another boy!! My goodness, we’re about to have our hands completely full this upcoming summer.

4 beautiful little boys. Mama’s boys might I add! I’m excited for all the nesting I see happening in my near future, and I can’t wait to go through all of Max’s hand me downs! I’m thinking of skipping the baby shower this time around since we’ve pretty much got all the baby must-haves already. We’re still on the hunt for a name for our baby boy, but I definitely want it to be unique & bilingual!

Baby is looking strong and healthy, and that’s all that truly matters. We’re so happy to bring this baby into the world, and we can’t wait to meet him! Only 17 more weeks to go!

A Day In Palm Springs

Lifestyle, Travel

We moved out of the Coachella Valley towards the end of last year, yet we find ourselves back there a lot of the time. We visit our family pretty often, and sometimes we enjoy a nice day out doing some of the things we love most.

A couple weekends ago, our 2 littlest ones stayed the weekend over at my parents, and we had such a nice little day date with our firstborn.

We started our morning with some delicious brunch at one of my favorite little spots in Palm Springs, FARM. If you’ve yet to try it and if you’re ever in town, it’s a definite must try. Soo good, and the scenery is just beautiful.

My usual is a Grilled Chicken Sandwich with a lemonade on the side. So delicious!

After brunch we decided to hit up one of Desert X’s locations, and it was pretty cool to say the least.

If you’re not familiar with Desert X, it’s an annual art exhibition displayed throughout the Coachella Valley by many artists who create and showcase some pretty rad -but amazing- art.

You can find a map with all of Desert X’s locations: here

We ended our day with some dinner and ice cream with my brother in law, and we finally stopped at the Palm Springs windmills to get a quick pic right before heading back home. The Valley holds a special place in my heart, and I will forever be in awe with its beauty. So glad my husband & I were able to spend some much needed one on one time with our firstborn, we sure made it a memorable day.

See you all in my next post, gender reveal coming soon! (:

5 Ways to Unplug and Recharge

Spirit & Soul

Hello friends and welcome back! Today, I’m sharing some of my favorite ways to unplug and recharge those batteries of mine. It’s always so important to remind yourself to slow down once in a while, and unwind.

“Disconnect to Connect” -Anonymous

Starting with my favorite – Reading

I’ll be honest and admit that I recently picked up reading again a little over a year ago. And ever since, I’ve really enjoyed going to the book store and picking up a book or two to feed my soul with whatever is speaking to me at the moment. We’ve just entered March, and I’m halfway into my second book of the year. Setting my phone to the side, and reading a chapter (or a few pages) a day gives me a quick sense of the rest I need, even if it’s just for a few minutes.

Currently reading Preach To Yourself by Hayley Morgan

Now, I find this one very important – Social Media Breaks

At the beginning of February, I took a very much needed break from Instagram. What was only supposed to be a weekend thing, ended up turning into an entire week’s break, and it felt so nice to disconnect from the media world. In order to disconnect and catch a break to reflect & and get re-inspired, a social media break is crucial, especially if you’re an influencer. Consuming so much of other people’s lives can sometimes lead to false assumptions & realities, and it’s always nice to remind yourself of your “why” and your purpose. If you’ve never had a social media break, I strongly recommend you take one every once in a while. You’ll come back feeling better than ever!

Quiet Time

I’ve mentioned this a couple times already, but quiet time in the mornings helps me focus & silence all distractions trying to steer me in the wrong direction. Journaling, meditating, praying, reading a devotional or the word, is an awesome way to start the morning. Set your phone to the side for the first hour or two, and enjoy a little quiet time to yourself before starting the day.

Pursue Your Passion/Pick Up a Hobby

We get so wrapped up in our daily lives that we sometimes forget to pursue that passion or hobby of ours. Find the time to pursue what you love, or pick up a new hobby if you don’t already have one. I love everything photography, so I really enjoy getting creative with shooting content and editing. Maybe you love to run marathons, or maybe you enjoy painting, whatever “sparks joy in your life”, do it! This is a great way to release those daily worries and stress.

And last but not least- Have a “YOU” day

Go on a coffee run by yourself, take a walk around your neighborhood, or go on a hike with your spouse or a friend. Find the beauty in simplicity. Whatever that looks like for you, take a day for yourself and spend your day worry-free and do something you’ve been longing for. Weekend road trips and brunch dates with my mom are some of my favorite things to do when I need a little pick-me-up.

If you made it this far, I hope you enjoyed this post! And remember,

“You can’t pour from an empty cup”

May you find the time to unwind and may you have a wonderful week!

XO,

Summer Fridays’ Review

Beauty

Hey all! Today I’m sharing some of my few favorite skincare products from Summer Fridays I happen to use often throughout my week. 3 different products that I love for different reasons.

If you’re not familiar with the brand (Summer Fridays), they’re a new beauty care brand who’s quickly rising their way up to the top. They started with their awesome Jet Lag Face Mask, and after hearing so much hype about it over the internet, I decided to give it a go. I love using this mask in the morning to give my skin the boost & plump it needs to wake up. I apply my daily-use toner to cleanse my skin from overnight, and then I go in with the mask next. I leave it on for a couple hours as I make my bed, feed my children, etc. until I finally rinse it off in the shower. I’ve also heard other influencers mention they love to use this mask as a moisturizer prior to applying their makeup, and also love wearing overnight. I appreciate its many different wears, my favorite just happens to be used as a skin plumper in the mornings.

Their second product, Overtime Mask, was launched some time around Fall, I believe. I love to use this mask in the shower, I exfoliate my skin & leave it on for approximately 10-15 mins before rinsing off. You can proceed with applying the Jet Lag Face Mask right after, but I do have a skincare regimen I follow, so feel free to follow whatever works best for you. I mentioned this mask in my Holiday Gift Guide, and I’ll mention its pumpkin scent once again, A-mazing! I love that this mask works as a great exfoliator and mask in one. I use it regularly as a part of my skincare regimen (3 times a week or so).

And lastly, their most recent product, R+R Mask. The perfect mask for this upcoming Spring that has the loveliest scent. I’ve used it a few times since it came in the mail, and this mask leaves my skin feeling so soft and radiant after using! Mask is suggested to cleanse off with a damp wash cloth, allowing you to pat its residue oils into the skin. It truly gives you that glow you’re looking for, especially during these cold winter days.

Summer Fridays has become one of my favorite skincare brands, and I’m excited to see all that they have in store for any future launches. If you’ve yet to try one of their products and you’re on the fence about whether the hype is real or not, I hope this quick review sums it up for you!

What are some of your favorite skincare regimen products? I’d love to know!

Talk to you all soon!
